Why Morning Meditation?
The morning is the most important part of the day, though you already know this, I'm sure. It sets the tone for the rest of the day, thus the saying; “Did you get out of bed on the wrong side this morning” – when a person is in a bad mood.
You've probably noticed how much advice there is out there around a positive “morning ritual”. And it's with good reason. How those first few hours pan out determines the tone for the remainder of the day.
If you've got kids, like me, mornings can get pretty stressful – trying to get everyone fed and ready on time.
But I find that getting up a little earlier than everyone else to prepare my intention for the day helps me navigate any stressful situations. It gives me more time to prepare and not feel like I'm always rushing against the clock.
Kids or not, whether you're going to a busy workplace or staying at home to get all the chores done, setting a positive intention can make the day a much happier and more productive one.

How the Morning Meditation Works
Morning Meditation is an Alpha binaural beats track. Alpha is the state associated with calm focus, intention, positive thinking, and the flow state.
The Morning Meditation meets you at Theta, where your brainwaves are likely most dominant – having not long woken up and probably struggling to get going.
The track then leads you up into the Alpha state, leaving you at 12 Hz by the end of the session. This is right in the middle of the Alpha range , where you'll experience a stress-free, positive and productive state of mind.
The music used in this meditation is tuned to 528 Hz. This is known as the ‘Love frequency', and the ‘miracle note', a frequency that is intrinsically connected to nature and present in many areas from Chlorophyll to the buzzing of bees.
Research of the effect of the 528 Hz sound waves on rats showed that it has the potential to reduce anxiety (1), and a music experiment in humans showed significant stress reduction (2).

How to Use This Meditation
This program can be used at any time of the morning, but ideally it should form part of your early morning routine.
You can use it before or after breakfast, but we recommend waking up 30 minutes before you normally do to get your session in before your day would normally start. You can achieve this by going to bed a little earlier the night before, or by not hitting snooze on the alarm!
As standard, we provide a 60-minute version of the program, which can be used when you have more time – perhaps on the weekend, if you're not working.
To listen, find a quiet space, be that your bedroom or another room in your home. If the weather permits, try listening outside for a closer connection with nature and the waking world around you.
Sit down on a chair, cushion, yoga mat or whatever you find comfortable. Once seated, put on your headphones and press play on your device.
