BinauralBeatsMeditation.com is the vision of Peter Lix, a music producer and sound enthusiast of 23 years. His passion for sound and its potential to motivate, heal and assist in self-development inspired him to pioneer a unique brand of brainwave entrainment music.
When you think about how good your favourite type of music makes you feel, it's easy to conceptualize how sound is capable of making us feel relaxed, motivated, productive, healthier and happier.
Sound is all around us: in voice, in nature, in media. It is so powerful, that it constantly affects our state of mind through the vibrations it sends to the brain. And it's this process of brain entrainment through sound that we use to create our special meditation music.
Each recording we create entrains the brain to a specific mind state, such as deep relaxation, high-level concentration, learning, creativity, intuition and spiritual awareness.
You simply put on headphones, relax, listen along, and the frequencies layered underneath the music encourage the brain to follow along in a process called ‘frequency following response'.
It's quite a simple process to understand, yet amazing all the same, and one I have become enthralled by over the years.
We remain a humble operation, with myself, James (our manager) and Ritar (administration assistant) keeping everything running smoothly. Our vision is to continue with our personable, customer-focused approach, and to create an ethical brand that our users feel a valued part of.
Each piece of music we produce is tested for effectiveness using control groups made up of a diverse mix of volunteers. We use people of all ages and of all backgrounds and professions, including meditators and non-meditators. The control group testing enables us to ensure each meditation is effective for its purpose, and allows us to fine-tune the recording before release on the website.
Our mission is to improve wellbeing by combining the science of brainwave entrainment and the healing power of ambient music. We hope you enjoy what we do.
