When we feel unworthy of love and praise, we feel uncomfortable celebrating our achievements and taking compliments from others – because we feel we don't deserve it.
Self-kindness entails being warm and understanding towards ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate, rather than flagellating ourselves with self-criticism. Self-love and compassion are key for mental health and well-being, keeping depression and anxiety at bay.
Researchers from Harvard Medical School and The University of Texas report that:
Having more self-compassion builds resilience in the face of adversity, helping people to recover more quickly from trauma or romantic separation. It also helps us to better cope with failure or embarrassment. (Source)
Perhaps you are struggling with body image issues, social anxiety, or low self esteem. Perhaps you are dealing with trauma from childhood abuse or a destructive relationship. All of these things can cultivate in a negative state of mind where we actually believe that we are not deserving of love, compassion and kindness, and ultimately happiness.
Most of us want to feel more positive about life.
We want to appreciate life more: to appreciate the capabilities we have, to exploit our potential, to be positive about opportunity and celebrate the small wins and big successes in our lives. But we are held back by deep-rooted beliefs etched in our subconscious mind. These beliefs control the way we think and act.
How Our Self-Love Meditation Works
Using subliminal messaging, the Self-Love Meditation program reprograms your subconscious beliefs around self-love, acceptance and compassion.

How to Use the Self-Love Meditation
The downloadable Self-Love Meditation program comes with 3 different versions of the music.
In addition to the silent subliminal affirmations versions, we have also included an audible affirmations version. This version contains spoken affirmations as an alternative method of positive reinforcement.
- Track 1 (30 min & 1-hour versions): Music featuring Alpha binaural beats and subliminal affirmations. Headphones required for full effects.
- Track 2 (1-hour version): Music featuring Alpha binaural beats and audible affirmations. Headphones required for full effects. Listening through speakers will also offer the benefit of positive reinforcement through the audible affirmations.
- Track 3: (2-hour version): Silent affirmations recording. No music can be heard. Headphones not required.
* The 1-hour version of track 1 is an extended version designed for a longer listening experience.
There are three ways in which you can listen to the Self-Love Meditation package:
Using headphones: For the full experience, you should listen through headphones. You can choose to be seated or lie down, whichever you prefer. Please note that the Alpha soundwaves (frequencies) used within the music may induce a relaxed state, so please do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
Through speakers (no headphones): You can listen while you work, read or engage in any other activity whereby you are in earshot of the music. You can also listen while you sleep.
Please note that listening in this way will not have the added benefit of the Alpha soundwaves, which require headphones to be fully effective. That said, the musical composition is designed to be relaxing, so you will still feel relaxed while listening.
Listening without headphones and over speakers will give you the full subconscious entrainment of the subliminal affirmations.
Method 3 (Silent affirmations track):
With or without headphones: You can listen to the silent affirmations version using headphones or through speakers.
To do this, we have provided you with a 2-hour version of the silent audio, which contains just the subliminal affirmations (no music or Alpha soundwaves).
You won't actually hear anything when listening to this track, but the subconscious entrainment will still be effective, and of course useful when you don't want music on or have other people in earshot that you don't want to distract. It also means you can listen on repeat, without any sound disturbance. This is ideal when you are sleeping.
To begin with, we recommend listening to the meditation for 1-hour each day for 2 weeks. After that period, you can use the music as and when you want to.
