The Gratitude Meditation will help increase your appreciation of the many blessings in your life.

Using a combination of our signature binaural beats and subliminal affirmations, the program helps manifest gratitude in the subconscious mind, which in turn creates positive beliefs and behaviors that reflect this gratitude in your everyday life.

Research shows that cultivating gratitude leads to lower stress levels, a lower chance of depression, and increased feelings of happiness and wellbeing.

Gratitude also serves as a protective factor during uncertain times and traumatic events, giving you greater emotional balance and clarity of thinking.

Gratitude meditation is focused on cultivating an appreciation for the blessings in life.

We have a tendency to rush through our lives, wanting to achieve and acquire more. We become frustrated when small things don't go our way and overestimate how hard done by we've been.

In truth, if we stop for a moment and consider what we have in that moment compared with what others don't have, we realize things could be a lot worse and that we should be more grateful.

While we should be grateful for privilege, the idea of gratitude isn't to feel guilty or beat yourself up about being successful in a particular area of your life. Gratitude meditation is about appreciating the fundamental blessings of life: food, shelter, friends, love.

Gratitude will also lead you to appreciate aspects of your life that may initially not seem pleasant, but upon reflection reveal an opportunity to learn and grow.

For example: you may injure your leg, which means you can't exercise for a couple of weeks, but during that time you choose to spend more time with your family.

According to meditation teacher Jack Kornfield:

“Buddhist monks begin each day with a chant of gratitude for the blessings of their life. Native American elders begin each ceremony with grateful prayers to mother earth and father sky, to the four directions, to the animal, plant, and mineral brothers and sisters who share our earth and support our life. In Tibet, the monks and nuns even offer prayers of gratitude for the suffering they have been given”.

About the Gratitude Meditation Program

Our Gratitude Meditation is designed to promote a sense of appreciation, thankfulness, security, happiness, and love for life.

Indeed, research shows that grateful people experience less hopelessness and depression and lower suicidal tendencies, and are likely to enjoy life more (1, 2).

For gratitude meditation specifically, one study found that practicing gratitude meditation four times a week for three weeks resulted in reduced levels of stress and depression, as well as increased happiness (3).

The Gratitude Meditation is part of our subliminal messaging (affirmations) range. Along with our signature binaural beats frequencies, we have laid affirmations underneath the music.

These affirmations are not audible because they have been filtered above the threshold of human hearing, though you may occasionally hear some high pitch frequency information in the track, if you have good hearing. We have a detailed explanation on how this works in this article.

The positive affirmations penetrate the subconscious mind and create new beliefs – or reinforce existing ones – around gratitude and appreciation.

The Gratitude Affirmations

Below is a list of the 15 affirmations used in the creation of the Gratitude Meditation program:

  1. I am grateful for all the good in my life
  2. I appreciate every blessing I receive
  3. I am grateful for the love in my life
  4. I love my family
  5. I love my friends
  6. I am grateful for my health
  7. I am grateful for my mind and body
  8. I am grateful for the ability to develop and grow
  9. I am grateful for my strength and resilience
  10. I appreciate the good fortune I receive
  11. I appreciate the food I eat
  12. I appreciate the home I have
  13. I appreciate the gift of life
  14. Gratitude comes naturally to me
  15. I choose to live in gratitude and peace

Frequency & Tuning Information

The binaural beats frequency is set at 10 Hz (Alpha), which is renowned for its effect on self-healing and evoking a sense of security and well being. It is also considered a waiting frequency while the subconscious mind is penetrated by lower frequencies, which in this case are delivered via the subliminal messages of gratitude.

Additionally, we have tuned the instrumentation to 432 Hz, a popular tuning that is considered to be in alignment with the frequency of nature. It is said to offer a sense of wellbeing and interconnectedness over the modern music tuning standard.

Additional Versions

In addition to the standard 30 and 60-minute versions of the Gratitude Meditation, which feature the music, binaural beats and subliminal affirmations, we also provide an audible affirmations version. In this version, the 15 affirmations are spoken six times at intervals of the 60-minute track.

Additionally, you will receive a subliminal affirmations version without any music overlay. This version is silent and contains only the subliminal information. Again, with good hearing your ears might pick up on some of the high frequency content of this track.

How to Use The Gratitude Meditation

You can use the Gratitude Meditation at any time you like, but it is perfectly suited to morning practice.

Starting your day by cultivating gratitude will create a positive, happy outlook for the day ahead.

We recommend a minimum listening time of 15 minutes, and ideally a 30-minute session.

You can choose to sit in the lotus meditation position and treat this as you would traditional meditation practice, or you can sit on a comfortable chair. It is also fine to listen while you work on a computer or read a book.
